I am a self taught watercolor painter - with the help of adult education, books, persistence & membership in The Messy Palette Club. I lived for many years in the beauty of the western mountains and deserts of Utah where I became a Signature Member of the Utah Watercolor Society. Since 2012 I've been painting both plein air and studio pieces. I am represented at Gallery 24, Torrey, Utah. I have recently "come home" to Massachusetts. Scenes of light & shadow, nooks & crannies, bends in the river, winding pathways lead me into their mysteries. What at first appears quiet & still is really full of movement. I try to depict these surprises in a loose and expressionistic way. With its own unpredictable nature, watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the ever changing dance of light on the solid seeming world.
