My name is Emma Aiken, I’ve grown up in western Massachusetts my whole life, near the shining waters of the Quabbin Reservoir. Living with so much boundless nature around me has been a constant inspiration for as long as I can remember. I started drawing when I was little and haven’t stopped since. I love drawing finely detailed flora, fauna, and mythical creatures from my imagination, using watercolor to wash vivid colors across the paper. I’ve explored other mediums throughout my life, including rock pendants and macrame, acrylic, digital art, and collage, but I always come back to my comfort of watercolor and fineliner pens.
I find art meditative and a beautiful way of letting go and flowing forwards, letting my pens and brushes lead the way. I have a passion for travel and nature journaling with my art telling the stories of my adventures.
As a budding young artist, I’m very excited to keep on creating and learning, pulling inspiration from life as I experience it.
