I spent my childhood years in Amherst. After graduating from UMASS, I embarked on an Air Force career and traveled to many interesting places, Alaska and Honduras among them. With my service years behind me, I settled in the small town of Canaan, New Hampshire with my wife Sandra, where we resided for over twenty years. In 2004 we returned to the Pioneer Valley, with its beautiful farmlands and mountain views.
My work is a celebration of my coming home again! Many of my photographs were taken locally, and some during a wonderful visit to Oak Island, North Carolina.
It is my heartfelt desire, although I use neither pen nor pencil, that my work bears my signature, as I strive to combine my love for events in the natural world with the gentle beauty that surrounds us. - Dennis Burke
