Anna Jacke’s passion for art has been a life-long journey of creativity and color that began in her home state of Connecticut. Over the decades she has mastered the use of pastel, oils, acrylics and watercolor. After retiring from the legal profession in 2009, she moved to California and took refresher courses at Community School of Music and Art in Mountain View and more than a dozen workshops in watercolor and oils. She is an avid plein air painter and photographer. She taught watercolor classes while in Oregon and served as a juror in the Bay Area. Since 2011, her work has been exhibited in more than 75 solo, regional, national and international juried shows including California, Oregon, Massachusetts and Canada. Anna’s art has appeared in newspapers and publications including Southwest Art Magazine and The Artistic Touch 6. She is a juried member of Oil Painters of America and is an active member of the New England Watercolor Society. Original work can be purchased directly from the artist at www.annajackeart.com.
