I was born and raised in Western Massachusetts, attended The Elms College in Chicopee, MA and graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a BA degree in Art and English Literature. For over 24 years I taught Art in the Belchertown, MA public school system and private classes in my home studio.
After leaving my teaching career in 2002, I continued to pursue painting in various mediums, exhibiting in several juried art shows and workshops. Included in my portfolio are watercolors, acrylics, and alcohol ink paintings. Most of the images reflect seascapes, marshes, landscapes, and floral designs.
My inspiration comes from my passion and love of the sea and from travels throughout New England, the Midwest, and parts of Europe. Lecturing on several cruise lines has brought me to the Sea of Cortez, MX, Spain, France, Italy, Turkey, Greece, and Hawaii to name a few.
