Classic New England
Elaine S. Darr-Morton is an amateur photographer who loves the medium of photography to document and preserve the beauty of special moments in her life. Her approach to photography is simply straightforward pictorial documentation wherein the intent and emphasis is not on interpretation but on presenting as effectively as possible the essence of a particular subject at a particular time while adhering to the proven age-old principles of classical pictorialism. Thus the composition (balance, proportion, design) and lighting are of importance and second only to the all-important decisive moment of exposure, which is unique to the photographic medium. She strives to avoid manipulation or alternation in post production.
